A trap that doesn’t kill est une installation et une performance. Les spectateur.rice.s.x sont invité.e.s.x à entrer dans un espace étrange, éclairé par divers ampoules où divers pièces au sol et au murs se répondent. Cela pourrait être l’après d’une fête, un univers post-apocalyptique, une scène de théâtre ou un terrain de jeu.
Avec des typologies, des formes, des tailles et des médiums différents, les pièces sont pour la plupart produite rapidement dans une économie de moyens, transformées par endroits, révélant des détails subtiles, jouant avec leur matérialité et brouillant les pistes entre ready made et peinture, sculpture et accessoire.
Une fontaine crache un peu d’eau colorée, un cheval en plastique galope sur place, un cimaise expire de la fumée. Les pièces dans l’espace ont toutes un potentiel performatif, une idée de transformation et de mouvement.
La performance explore des notions d’échec, d’actions bancales, d’état intérieur paralysé et d’une révolte qui crie en chuchotant. Les gestes mélangent improvisation et actions précises. Un poème est dicté, des plumes volent dans l’espace, un fumigène pourrait être allumé.

A trap that doesn’t kill is an installation and performance. Spectators are invited to enter a strange space, lit by a variety of light bulbs, where various pieces on the floor and walls respond to each other. It could be the aftermath of a party, a post-apocalyptic universe, a theater stage or a playground.
With different typologies, shapes, sizes and mediums, the pieces are for the most part rapidly produced in an economy of means, transformed in places, revealing subtle details, playing with their materiality and blurring the lines between ready made and painting, sculpture and accessory.
A fountain spits out a little colored water, a plastic horse gallops on the spot, a picture rail exhales smoke. The pieces in the space all have a performative potential, an idea of transformation and movement.
The performance explores notions of failure, wobbly actions, a paralyzed inner state and a revolt that shouts in whispers. Gestures mix improvisation and precise action. A poem is dictated, feathers fly into space, a smoke bomb might be lit.
